As we all know, the World Health Organization (WHO) recently declared monkeypox to be a public health emergency of international concern. Confirmed cases are growing rapidly and variant presentations are emerging.
To assist emergency medicine professionals during this public health emergency, ACEP has partnered with VisualDx, a clinical informatics company with over 20 years of providing public health solutions, to create the Monkeypox Emergency Medicine Project.
Together we are asking ACEP members to contribute your confirmed monkeypox case images to the initiative. Images will be de-identified. Images collected through the Monkeypox Emergency Medicine Project will be made freely accessible to ACEP members to better assist recognition, clinical care, education. It will also be made available within the VisualDx system.
By ensuring that emergency medicine professionals have access to a diverse set of clinical images, we can improve health care outcomes.
We appreciate your participation. You can find further details at https://www.visualdx.com/monkeypox-images/
