The Model of the Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine - the EM Model - is up for review and you can be involved in helping to set the future direction of the specialty.
In 2022, the EM Model was revised, and the collaborating organizations agreed to the next review of the EM Model in 2025. ABEM will serve as the administrative organization that maintains and supports the periodic reviews of the EM Model.
ACEP will select two representatives to serve on the EM Model Review Task Force.
The EM Model Review Task Force's initial meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 12, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to coincide with the SAEM Annual Meeting. The meeting is expected to take the full day.
