Multimodal analgesia has been shown to improve pain management for many ED complaints, and there has been a proliferation of ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques for ED pain management including regional anesthesia and joint injections. Participants will learn basic ultrasound-guided analgesia techniques to treat common hip, chest, upper extremity, and joint complaints. Short didactic sessions will be followed by instructor led small group hands on skill sessions on live models for anatomic review and skill practice on nerve block phantoms and meat models.
