The Point of Care Ultrasound Scanning Skills Workshop live training course provides participants a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret the core ultrasound applications in an emergency or critical care setting as outlined in the WINFOCUS and ACEP ultrasound practice guidelines. Extensive hands-on scan sessions featuring a 3:1 faculty to participant ratio with live models and phantoms allow the learner to immediately integrate the skills learned into clinical practice. Under Physician or registered sonographer supervision, each participant performs an average of 40 various ultrasound examinations in the hands-on sessions which can be applied towards the recommended 25-50 cases per application and a log of examinations performed during the program is signed by the instructor for the participant to use in the credentialing process.
