Carbon Neutral

Us:
The Pennsylvania Convention Center encourages alternative forms of transportation among convention center staff to reduce its carbon footprint.

You:
If you’re close, drive to ACEP23. If you’re able, walk to the Convention Center from your hotel.

Waste Diversion

Us:
Philadelphia diverts more than 60% of their waste every year, properly separating recyclables and compostables and keeping them out of the landfill. Philadelphia also eliminated the use of plastic straws at all meetings.

You:
Be sure to use the Pennsylvania Convention Center recycling bins so we can divert waste from ACEP23.

Water Wise

Us:
Water usage decreased by 13.2% in 2022 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center compared to 2019, with a similar trend for the Center’s electricity usage.

You:
Help us by not letting the water run extra in your hotel room, i.e., when brushing your teeth.

Print and bring only the absolutely necessary materials.

Local, Sustainable Foods

The Pennsylvania Convention Center focuses on using sustainable foods and 88% of its disposable serving ware is compostable. Additionally, 45% of the catering cleaning products are eco-friendly.

You:
When dining out in Philadelphia, try to focus on restaurants that use more locally sourced food.

Philadelphia has many water stations at the airport, hotels, and more to offer alternatives to plastic bottles.
