Jason C. Wagner, MD, FACEP
Doctor Wagner is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Education at Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as Director of Simulation and Residency Program Director each for a decade as well as helped launch their Medical Education Fellowship. Outside the halls of academia, he is a recently retired Lt Col in the MO Air National Guard, where he served as both a Flight Surgeon and Critical Care Air Transport Physician. Jason is fascinated by the impact of cognitive load theory as well as behavioral economics (I promise it’s more exciting than it sounds) on both education and clinical practice. His current focus is on nurturing better teachers through mindful education at the bedside and through engaging didactic experiences. He’s been writing and lecturing on the integration of technology with medicine and education for the past two decades.
