Tabitha Ford, MD, has served as a section editor for PEERprep for Physicians and PEERprep for Programs since 2021 and as an item author for PEER (Physician’s Evaluation and Educational Review in Emergency Medicine) since 2019. She is currently an assistant professor and assistant director of didactic education in the department of emergency medicine at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, which is where she earned her doctor of medicine degree. Dr. Ford completed her residency training at the University of Utah, and she completed the Medical Education Fellowship at the University of Vermont.
In addition to PEER, Dr. Ford has also written articles for the Journal of Education and Teaching in Emergency Medicine, the International Journal of Emergency Medicine, AEM Education and Training, and the SAEM CDEM M4 Curriculum. Dr. Ford has a particular interest in medical education and is a frequent contributor to ALiEM’s SplintER series. She has also served as a member of the COVID’s Educational Impact Task Force for the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine (CORD). Dr. Ford was awarded the “2020 Gold Standard Reviewer” distinction in the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine’s 2021 Special Issue in Education Research and Practice.
