Alexander Ebinger, MD, CAQ-SM, has served as the senior module editor for PEERcert+ Nontraumatic Musculoskeletal since 2021. He practices clinically in the emergency department at Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Ebinger earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Iowa. He completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin and his fellowship at the University of Utah. Dr. Ebinger is dual board certified in emergency medicine and sports medicine (one of fewer than 200 physicians in the United States).
In addition to his roles within the hospital, Dr. Ebinger provides care and coverage for several local sports teams. Dr. Ebinger is an assistant team physician for Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies; he is the head emergency physician for the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche; he serves as the lead visiting team medical liaison for the National Football League’s Denver Broncos; and he provides gameday coverage for the Colorado Buffaloes football team. In the past, Dr. Ebinger has cared for the US Ski and Snowboard and US Speedskating teams. He has also served as team physician for Hinkley High School’s football team, staffed the Winter Park Ski Clinic, and been the on-mountain physician at the US Grand Prix at Copper Mountain. Dr. Ebinger has spoken nationally at ACEP, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), the International Extreme Sports Medicine Congress, and the AMSSM Fellows Research and Leadership Virtual Conference.
