Dr. Kivlehan is the director of the Lavine Family Humanitarian Studies Initiative at Harvard.

He is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School and of Global Health and Population at Harvard Chan School of Public Health. He is the director of the Global Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he also practices clincially.

Dr. Kivlehan's team at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative works with partners around the world to the ensure timely access to high quality emergency care for all people.
