Alexandra Asrow

Dr. Asrow is a board certified Emergency Physician and ACEP Fellow from Chicago. She currently works as an Emergency Physician at multiple hospitals in the Chicagoland area and in Wisconsin.

She received her ScB Degree with honors from Brown University. She studied at the University of Bologna, Italy as an Erasmus student, and received a Fulbright Scholarship to Italy, which she conducted at the University of Torino. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine for her MD, when she also completed an international elective rotation at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. She completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at Amita Health Resurrection in Chicago, in addition to completing her residency elective rotation at Umberto Primo Hospital in Rome, Italy.

Dr. Asrow is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is ACEP's Lead Ambassador to Italy and Finland, as well as the Chair of the International Ambassador Program. She is involved with EUSEM, IFEM, and the Chicago Fulbright Chapter and mentorship committee. Dr. Asrow is also the founder and director of Emergency Medicine Global Learning Exchange, a non-profit organization working to help develop EM around the world via education. In her free time, Dr. Asrow enjoys playing music, drawing, travel, learning languages, trying new foods, and spending time with her adopted cats.
