ACEP Silver Birch Award: Geriatrics

Award criteria:

Developed to honor someone whose work and advocacy has furthered the field of Geriatric Emergency Medicine, especially those who are unfunded/volunteers.  Not restricted to physicians, this award can be given to anyone who the ACEP Geriatric Emergency Medicine Section board feels has significantly contributed to furthering geriatric emergency departments and the care of older adults.

The Geriatric EM Section (GEMS) board accepts nominations from GEMS members and completes an internal vote on the winner. The Accolade and Certificate are given during the GEMS meeting at each ACEP Scientific Assembly Annual Meeting.
