Chair's Corner

The goal of the geriatric section is to bring together our members who are passionate about geriatric emergency medicine.

This year the board has focused on increasing educational opportunities, increasing engagement with our community and supporting GEDA/GEDC activities. If you have an innovation, idea, or even a pet peeve to share, reach out to us on the ACEP EngagED platform, email Maura or Nicole, or better yet, join our meetings!

We hold monthly Zoom conference calls on the third Monday of each month at 11:00 AM CST/ 12:00 noon EST / 9:00 AM PST.  In addition to section planning, our monthly section meetings are used in a variety of ways:

• Engaging with each other on a topic of interest to the group
• Formal presentations from speakers
• Webinars
• and more….

Please watch for emails about our monthly section meetings and join them. These calls are open to GEMS members and designed to be a discussion hub for the latest geriatric topics and activities. We also want to hear from you and want your input on how we can make our section better for you! If you are not able to make these meetings, we still want to hear from you! So reach out to us via email or the ACEP EngagED platform
