ACEP US Section Sonoguide Subcommittee Update
Hello Ultrasound Family,
Just as a reminder Sonoguide is still around and going strong! This great open access point-of-care ultrasound resource was originally developed by ACEP members for undergraduate users and quickly expanded to include advanced topics and procedural learning modules. It now serves as a POCUS guide for any level of medical training and continued medical education.
We are continuing to improve and refine Sonoguide with new illustrations coming soon. These will be created by one of our amazing colleagues, Emory Attending, Dr. Rahel Gizaw. It always amazes us to see the different talents that our colleagues possess outside of our clinical world and their willingness to contribute. Another new feature we are adding is an open access Question Bank (QBank). We envision this QBank to be used as an “end-of-rotation” evaluation for all programs currently running or thinking about starting an Ultrasound Rotation.
Please don’t forget to check out the different learning modules in our Basic, Advanced and Procedural ultrasound sections within Sonoguide. My personal favorite is ultrasound-guided lumbar puncture and the video of the pediatric spinal cord; looking at the conus medullaris always blows my mind.
If you’d like to get involved or provide feedback, don’t hesitate to email us anytime,
Happy Scanning!
