David Shih

Dr. David Shih is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician and is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Rendr, a large primary care and multi-specialty group serving 100,000 underserved patients in the NYC. He is an expert in quality, value based care and practice transformation. Most notably, Dr. Shih was one of the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of CityMD, a large urgent care chain with over 120 sites in the NY Metropolitan area. As CMO of CityMD, he created their Scribe Academy and Aftercare services which was a key differentiator in the industry. Dr. Shih also founded Master Clinicians, a CME company focused on educating the next generation of clinicians working in emerging medical fields. In his spare time, Dr. Shih mentors several young healthcare executives and entrepreneurs and has been a guest lecturer every semester at Columbia’s Mailman School for Public Health for the past 4 years. He is also an operating partner at Ascend Partners. Recently, he was among those recognized in Crain’s New York Business Notable in Healthcare 2021 for contributing to the fight against the COVID pandemic.
