Heather Owen

Dr. Heather Owen is a practicing emergency physician in Dallas. She has served as a leader in healthcare for almost 20 years. Dr. Owen is TeamHealth’s Chief Clinical Officer for Emergency Medicine. Prior to assuming the CCO role, she served as the Chief Safety and Quality Officer, overseeing and directing quality initiatives, risk management, educational programming and the physician wellness program. She has dedicated much of her administrative career to supporting physicians in providing high quality, safe care for our patients. Dr. Owen is a past president of Texas College of Emergency Physicians and served on the TCEP Board for over 10 years. A proven leader, she provides guidance to physicians in all stages of their career and promotes an environment in which they can thrive.
