Monica Manabe is the Emergency Services Director for Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center. She has oversight of a Level 2 Trauma Center, which is designated for 4 counties. As the Base Hospital for Solano County, she implemented the MICN program in which she oversees the MCI operations. Monica attended the University of Southern California where she received her BSN. She also completed her MPH-HSA from the University of San Francisco. Attended the Virginia Mason LEAN Training for Ambulatory setting.
Over the past 25 years as a nurse and nurse leader, she has worked in many capacities, having served as an emergency staff nurse, AIDS project case manager, assistant director and interim director over emergency services, clinical services director, and clinical projects director. Monica has served on various boards including the San Benito Health Foundation, FQHC, where she was vice chair and chair. In her current role, she has helped coordinate MCI drills with the Army Air National Guard, FEMA and Homeland Security.
