Rebecca A. Bavolek, MD, FACEP
Dr. Bavolek is the Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine for the UCLA Department of Emergency Medicine. She completed her residency training at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis where she served as chief resident. Following residency, she began her career as faculty at the Washington University School of Medicine with a focus on medical education, and served as an Assistant Program Director prior to moving to UCLA to become the Residency Program Director. She was the program director for 7.5 years and is now the director of the Medical Education Fellowship and the Vice Chair overseeing all educational activities for the department of emergency medicine at UCLA. She has been an invited speaker at regional and national conferences, including ACEP Scientific Assembly. She is currently the incoming Chairperson of the ACEP Educational Meetings Subcommittee, a faculty member for the ACEP Teaching Fellowship, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine (CORD).
