Welcome to the Spring edition of the Trauma and Injury Prevention Section newsletter!

Firearm injury prevention has taken center stage as one of America’s most deleterious public health crises.  Gun violence has long been an under-served topic among federal funders and health care decision-makers, due to the imposition of policy over crucial patient and medical practice interests.  TIPS has always been an advocate for patient safety, and dedicates this issue to our national conversation on gun violence prevention. 

TIPS will pass the gavel to a new Chair this year, and I look forward to your candidacy and our elections in October!
