The webinar is intended to educate providers on current health policy topics related to emergency medicine practice. Learners will be able to discuss current topics in health policy and identify key legislation which impacts emergency medicine physicians. The webinar will conclude with a question and answer discussion of action items and future policy directions for emergency medicine physicians.
About Randy L. Pilgrim
Dr. Pilgrim is the Enterprise Chief Medical Officer for SCP Health. An emergency physician for over 25 years, he has served in numerous national leadership roles, including four terms as Chair of EDPMA’s Board of Directors. He has regularly advocated for state, federal, and public policy issues that affect the future of emergency care. He co-chairs ACEP’s Task Force on Alternative Payment Models and EDPMA’s Federal Health Policy Committee. He serves as a faculty member for ACEP’s ED Director Academy, and has lectured with the IOM's dissemination workshop series, "Hospital-Based Emergency Care, At the Breaking Point." Recently, he delivered the Colin C. Rorrie, Jr. Health Policy lecture for ACEP, United We Stand: The Influence of Emergency Physicians on Key Health and Public Policy Issues. Dr. Pilgrim lives and works in Lafayette, Louisiana.
