Simone L. Lawson
MD, FAAP, FACEP
Dr. Lawson works at the Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. and is currently the Assistant Program Director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Ultrasound fellowship.
She grew up in Charlotte, NC and attended undergrad and medical school at UNC Chapel Hill. She completed Pediatrics residency in New Orleans (Children's Hospital New Orleans, LSU Health Sciences Center) and worked in the emergency department for two years before moving back to Charlotte for PEM fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center. After PEM fellowship, she completed an additional PEM Ultrasound fellowship at Children's National.
She recently completed George Washington University’s Master Teacher and Leadership Development Program and expects to complete a Master's of Education at GWU in 2023.
