Sean M. Fox
MD, FACEP, FAAP
Dr. Fox is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and a Professor of Pediatrics and the Program Director the Emergency Medicine residency program at Carolinas Medical Center. He enjoys working half of his shifts in the Pediatric emergency department and half in the Adult emergency department.
Dr. Fox received his medical degree and completed a combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland, where he also served as Chief Resident. Subsequently, he completed American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Teaching Fellowship focusing on curriculum development with innovative teaching methods.
He has been awarded the several national and institutional academic awards including the ACEP’s National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award in 2014. Currently, Dr. Fox works with other national educators to craft the courses and curriculum for the annual ACEP Scientific Assembly, as well as the ACEP Advanced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assembly.
Continuing to want to enhance his own education as well as benefit others, Dr. Fox spends his spare time generating and managing several educational websites geared toward the practice of emergency medicine.
