Jeffrey R. Avner

MD, FAAP

Dr. Avner is Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Maimonides Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn.

He was previously the Chief of PEM at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore; program chairman, AAP Emergency Medicine section meeting; course director for a national review course for Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PREP: EM); and editor for the AAP online self-assessment for Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PREP: E-Med).

His work has been published in Pediatrics, Academic Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Emergency Care, and the New England Journal of Medicine.
