Kiyetta Alade
MD, MEd, RDMS
Dr. Alade is an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. She is an active member of the AAP Section on Emergency Medicine currently serving as an executive committee member and their point-of-care ultrasound program chair.
Over the past 12 years, she has organized and participated in local, regional, national, and international POCUS education while implementing and growing the POCUS program at her institution. Her research interests are in POCUS education, and she has dedicated many years to the creation, validation and implementation of a pediatric POCUS assessment tool that is offered annually to pediatric emergency medicine fellows nationwide.
Though POCUS and education motivate and direct her career path, Dr. Alade is the mother of five active children ranging from 8 to 15 years of age. She spends most of her vacation time with sports travel as her eldest 2 kids compete in taekwondo internationally as members of Team USA.
