HVNI is a form of mask-free noninvasive ventilation for spontaneously breathing patients with a unique FDA category classification. The presentation will discuss mechanisms of action and data from a recent randomized clinical trial showing HVNI is a viable alternative to NiPPV as a tool for treating undifferentiated respiratory distress.
