Clayton Kazan

MD, FACEP

Dr. Kazan has been passionate about emergency medicine and EMS since becoming an EMT in 1994. Since then, he has held a long list of EMS positions, from instructor and dispatcher to medical directorships, and his passion is for teaching, quality improvement, and process development. Currently, he serves as the Medical Director of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at UCLA. Under his leadership, the Fire Department has launched a number of innovative and nationally recognized initiatives. Dr. Kazan is a winner of both the California ACEP EMS Achievement Award and the California EMS Authority Distinguished Service Medal.
