Mission Statement

The mission of the Cruise Ship Medicine Section is to improve the quality of medical practices aboard cruise ships and to enhance the role of emergency physicians in providing medical care within the cruise industry. We also strive to foster cooperation among those who practice cruise ship medicine, and provide an opportunity to meet, interact and network.

Responsibilities

Officers serve for a term of two years. Elections were last held in 2022. The Section will be electing new officers in 2024.

Chair - 2 Year Term
Leads the section and directs projects and actions.

Chair Elect - 2 Year Term
Supports the chair and serves as newsletter editor.

Immediate Past Chair - 2 Year Term
Supports the chair and fills in as necessary

Councillor - 2 Year Term
Represents the section during the ACEP Council activities and meeting.
