Dr. Falat serves as Emergency Medicine faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Assistant Medical Director of the Adult Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Medical Center. 

Dr. Falat completed her residency, chief residency, and Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of Maryland. She has an academic passion for environmental/wilderness medicine and procedural education.

She is currently a course instructor for multiple CME procedures courses, the section editor for Corependium's Environmental Medicine chapters, and a guest editor for the recent Emergency Medicine Clinics of North America issue on Environmental and Wilderness Medicine. 

In her free time, Dr. Falat spends time outdoors with family and friends, as well as planning her next ski trip or international travel.
