Dr. Fox is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and a Professor of Pediatrics and the Program Director the Emergency Medicine residency program at Carolinas Medical Center. He enjoys working half of his shifts in the Pediatric emergency department and half in the Adult emergency department.
Dr. Fox received his medical degree and completed a combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland, where he also served as Chief Resident. Subsequently, he completed ACEP's Teaching Fellowship, focusing on curriculum development with innovative teaching methods.
He has been awarded the several national and institutional academic awards including ACEP’s National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award in 2014.
Currently, Dr. Fox spends his spare time generating and managing several FREE educational websites geared toward the practice of emergency medicine (www.pedemmorsels.com, www.emguidewire.com, www.cmcecg.com, www.mededmasters.com, www.cmcedmasters.com).
