Erika Crawford

Section Editor, Clinical Pediatrics, Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine — Dr. Crawford has been a contributor to Critical Decisions since 2023 and on the Critical Decisions Editorial Board since 2024. She is the associate director of pediatric education for the Department of Emergency Medicine and the pediatric emergency medicine clerkship director at Prisma Health Upstate in South Carolina. Dr. Crawford received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, and she completed her pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Crawford also graduated with honors with a degree in biology from Wofford College. During her undergraduate years, she was a 4-year letter captain of the women’s soccer team.
