Dr. Price is originally from Tucson, Arizona. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Abilene Christian University and post bach at Tennessee State University and augmented her experience with clinical research in immunology at Vanderbilt University.  

She returned to University of Arizona for medical school then completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta. She moved to Connecticut to pursue a fellowship in Administration/International EM at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital.  

For a long time, Dr. Price has had an interest in DEI and Health Equity topics. Her other main interests are related to her career in Medical Education, Wellness and Global Health.  

In 2014 she was promoted to Associate Residency Program Director at University of Connecticut. She currently sits on the CORD Board of Directors and is heavily involved in the EM section of the National Medical Association and serves on the Executive Council as a Past Section Chair.

Dr. Price is currently Chair of the Diversity Oversight Committee for GME at University of Connecticut and Treasurer of the Medical Staff for Hartford Hospital, as well as involved with the HHC Regional Mutual Respect Committee.

To stay balanced, Dr. Price enjoys Zumba, travel, reading and skiing. She has an interest in travel and development of global health and EM outside of the United States, and recently has studied in Vietnam.

Dr. Price is passionate about resident resiliency, cultural humility, health care disparities, obesity, asthma trauma and palliative care. She has had many opportunities to lecture both nationally and internationally on these interests.
