Robert Hughes

Dr. Hughes practices clinically at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio serving as the Vice Chair of Quality for University Hospitals Emergency Medicine. He has the pleasure of serving as the Director of University Hospitals Emergency Medicine Quality Network, Director of University Health System Operations and Logistics, as well as Medical Director for the UH System Operations Center. He has formerly served as the Associate Medical Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine, Medical Director for Advanced Practice Providers, as well as Director of Observation Medicine at University Hospitals, Cleveland Medical Center. His operational interests are broad, serving on hospital and system level committees for several High Reliability Medicine initiatives. Dr. Hughes enjoys educating at all levels, serving as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Case Western Reserve University Medical School, as well as serving as Core Faculty and resident educator, and has had the pleasure of teaching on regional, national, and international levels.
