Starr Knight

Dr. Knight is an emergency physican and director of faculty experience at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and professor of emergency medicine at the University of California San Francisco.

She is Vice Chair for Diversity and Inclusion and Emergency and  Endowed Professor of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity at UCSF.

Dr. Knight is a recipient of numerous awards, including the UCSF Academic Senate Distinction in Mentoring Award (2022), the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators Excellence in Bedside Teaching Award (2020, 2014), the UCSF Department of Emergency Medicine Bedside Teaching Award (2023, 2022, 2020, 2014, 2013), and the UCSF John A. Watson Scholar Award (2016-2019). She also received the UCSF Ob/Gyn Outstanding Resident Teaching Award (2014, 2022).
