Marco Propersi
DO
Dr. Marco Propersi was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. He graduated with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2003. He received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008, followed by residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in 2013, where he trained in emergency medicine and internal medicine. Dr. Propersi serves as an Assistant Professor in emergency medicine at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine and Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University. He is passionate about medical education and regularly contributes to ALiEM, REBEL EM, EM Over Easy, and ICE Blog. In addition, he has spoken both regionally and nationally on various topics in emergency medicine and focuses on knowledge translation. Dr. Propersi is an award-winning educator whose colleagues presented him with an institutional teaching award across three different academic years. In 2021, Dr. Propersi won ACEP's coveted Drop the Mic award for new speakers. In 2022, he will serve as a mentor for the ALiEM Faculty Incubator program; and he also accepted the position of Associate Editor of REBEL EM. Dr. Propersi has more than ten years of clinical experience in emergency medicine and currently holds a core faculty position and serves as Vice-Chair at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. In addition, he serves relentlessly on the NJ-ACEP Board of Directors in pursuit of improving the practice of emergency medicine.
