Dr. Amato is active in graduate medical education with appointments on National Conference Planning Committees as well as providing lecturing both locally and nationally.   He has published chapters and peer reviewed research in areas including toxicology, trauma, fluids/electrolytes, psychiatric issues, COVID, and orthopedics.  He has been on staff at Morristown Medical Center since 2001.  On a national level, Dr. Amato was the past-chair of the National Pediatric Section of the ACEP as well as Secretary and then chair-elect prior to assuming the chair position.  He has been active with planning or acting as chair for the ACEP Advanced PEM Assembly and is the current Chair for the PEM Committee Section, National ACEP.
