Jodi Wieters

Dr. Wieters is an active figure in the field of emergency medicine and forensic medicine, with a rich background spanning over 23 years of practice. She holds the position of assistant professor at both Texas A&M and Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Wieters' journey began at UT San Antonio Medical School, where she earned her medical degree. She then pursued her residency in emergency medicine at Scott & White in Temple, Texas, affiliated with Texas A&M.

Since 2018, Dr. Wieters has held the role of Medical Director at the Baylor Scott and White Forensics Department in Temple, demonstrating her expertise and leadership in the field. Her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and practices is evident through her active involvement in various national committees. 

Dr. Wieters' research interests predominantly focus on non-fatal strangulation and sexual assault, indicating her dedication to understanding and addressing this critical aspect of forensic medicine. With her extensive experience and involvement in both clinical practice and academic pursuits, Dr. Wieters continues to make significant contributions to the field, benefiting both her patients and the broader medical community.
