Asa Viccellio
MD, FACEP
Professor and Vice Chairperson of Emergency Medicine at the Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook, NY. He was awarded the Colin C. Rorrie Jr. award for excellence in health policy for his work in hospital flow and overcrowding. He is known for establishing a full capacity protocol as one method for mitigating boarding of admitted patients in the ED. He has received multiple educational awards for teaching, and also received the highly coveted "Curmudgeon" award from the ACEP Council. He has published several texts in toxicology.
