Emergency Ultrasound Management Course Subcommittee
The ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Management Course was held at ACEP24 in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Core Track
Popular with fellows or new ultrasound directors, the core track is designed for those starting or developing a new program. Core topics include the role of the ultrasound director, specifics of machine purchase, and a thorough explanation of billing. The speakers are national experts successful in implementing emergency ultrasound programs.
Attention US fellowship directors and US fellows: This track covers the Administrative topics of the Core Curriculum of Clinical Ultrasonography.
Advanced Track
The advanced course is for experienced ultrasound directors interested in expansion and maturation of their program. Advanced topics include ultrasound education updates for directors, innovative teaching methods, simulation, artificial intelligence, and many more.
Breakout Sessions and Workshops
Ten breakout sessions available to both tracks provide small group interactive discussions with leading experts on topics such as the Clinical Ultrasound Accreditation Program, how to implement TEE or nerve blocks in your department, and how to create an ultrasound course. Five workshop sessions allow participants to delve deeply into how to negotiate for a position, navigate system-wide ultrasound, and improve a pediatric program. There is even an excellent social media workshop led by nationally recognized experts.
*Please note - these courses focus on ultrasound program management. They do NOT teach scanning technique.
