Dr. Angela Cornelius is Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine through TCU/UNTHSC who practices at John Peter Smith Hospital Fort Worth EM Residency. She also practices as an Associate Professor at LSU Shreveport in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio and Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She is boarded in emergency medicine, family medicine and emergency medical services and holds a masters in International Disaster Management. She has been involved in council with few breaks since 2007. In 2007 when she was a Texas Leadership and Advocacy fellow (TLAF) she served on the TCEP board, the disaster committee and as an alternate councilor. She subsequently moved to Louisiana and was on the Louisiana ACEP board and served as an alternate councilor. She now resides in Texas and serves on the TCEP board of directors and has served as a councilor or alternate councilor since 2021. She has been active in disaster medicine and EMS for over 10 years currently serving as the chair of American College of Emergency Physicians Disaster Preparedness and Response committee and Air Medical section chair as well being a member of the EMS section, Disaster section, and the Tactical section. Her current research includes but is not limited to the study of TXA usage in trauma, disaster education for residents and EMS fellows, calcium usage in mass transfusion protocols, whole blood usage, disparities in disaster healthcare, and EMS usage and care.
