Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (learn more about ACCME), ACEP  offers its members AMA Category 1 Credit. In addition to developing and offering its own educational programs, ACEP reviews other emergency medicine programs for ACEP Category I credit.

ACEP only reviews programs that have earned AMA credit or are jointly sponsored by ACEP. The review system for ACEP Category I credit is formally initiated when an application is submitted by a program director to ACEP’s Educational Products Division.
